5. The Issueswith CAT
Thenormalization process is not easily understood.
Itdoes not provide a fair representation of the students ability.
Student needs to wait over a monthto knowhis /herresults. So performance cannot be measured immediately.
Score is valid only for 1year
Student can attempt the CAT only oncein a year.
6. Why GMAT?
TheGMAT mock tests provide a fair assessment.
For eg: Itook 3 mock tests 770/ 780/ 770and scored a 760onthe actual GMAT.
TheGMAT results aregenerated instantly at the end of the test. So performancecan be instantly gauged.
TheGMAT scores are valid for 5years so youhave longertime to apply to B-schools in Indiaand abroad.
TheGMAT test can be given 5times a yearwithin an interval of 31days fromyourprevious test.

8. Why movefrom CAT toGMAT?
TheGMAT is a standardized test and it thoroughly tests your concepts.
Theonly challengefor a student with CATprep on theGMAT is Sentence Correction.
Thereis no logical reasoning tested on the GMAT.
Quant is trickybut is comparatively easier thanCAT.TheOnly challenge is data sufficiency.
Ifyou have attempted the CATmultiple times, youcan definitely fare well on the GMAT!
