RSK Smarter Bitcoin allows for smart contracts on the Bitcoin blockchain. Rootstock (RSK) is a sidechain project that enables turing complete smart contracts through a token called Smart-BTC (SBTC) that is convertible 1:1 with Bitcoin. A key feature is that RSK is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine and contracts can be written in the Solidity programming language. The RSK mainnet is currently running but closed to pre-approved participants.
