Blizzard the Wizzard is a top-down survival combat game where the player takes on the role of Blizzard, a gangster wizard trying to join the Gang of Wizards. To do so, Blizzard must pass an initiation test by surviving as long as possible on a remote island facing its deadly inhabitants while searching for scrolls and tomes to increase his magic powers. The player must manage resources and spells against an endless onslaught of creatures. If the player eventually fails, they find out if they succeeded in joining the Gang of Wizards. The game is being developed using OpenGL and SDL and will be released under the MIT license.

Introduction But to do this he must pass his initiation test, to take the magic portal onto a remote island and take on its deadly inhabitants, trying to survive for as long as possible while searching for the ancient scrolls and tomes to increase his power.

Licensing Licensed using the MIT License ? Software provided ¡°as is¡±, without warranty of any kind. ? Free to do whatever you like with it as long as you give credit.
Gameplay GOAL Survive for as long as possible against the endless onslaught of creatures that inhabit the island.
Gameplay (cont.) ? Start off without any resources, just basic magic power. ? Killing enemies can grant Blizzard: ¨C Scrolls ? Temporary upgrades ¨C Tomes ? Permanent upgrades
Examples of Scrolls/Tomes ? Scroll of Agility ¨C increased movement speed ? Scroll of Health ¨C restores health ? Tome of Shielding ¨C shields incoming damage ? Tome of Fire ¨C allows Blizzard to throw a fireball at his enemies
Spells ? Each spell has a cooldown and mana cost associated with it so the player must be mindful of when the best time to use certain spells.
BAD NEWS! ? The player will eventually succumb to the overwhelming waves of the islands inhabitants.
Game Over ? The player then finds out whether they were successful in becoming a part of the Gang of Wizards
