Contract law defines a contract as a legally enforceable promise or set of promises between parties. For a contract to be valid and enforceable, it must contain certain elements, including an offer, acceptance of that offer, and consideration (value exchanged between the parties). If one party breaches the terms of the contract, the other can seek legal recourse through the courts. Fraud is generally defined in law as an intentional misrepresentation or omission of facts by one party with the intent to deceive or disadvantage the other party.
