Printed and bound in Malaysia
Introduction
This book mainly consist of
photos about the interaction
between people who smoke
and the spaces around them.
The photos tell us that smoking
is a form of socializing between
people who smoke. It does
not only show the people who
smoke cigarettes but also other
forms of smoking such as the
traditional Arabic Shisha and
the modern day Vapouriser.
Smoking is a said to be a form
of relaxant. Hence, the pictures
in this book would mainly be
about young adults and above
chilling while having a 'smoke'.

"Slow Ride, Take It Easy"
						-Foghat, Slow Ride, (1975)
In Kuala Lumpur, the roads are usually congested with hundreds of cars. When traffic
slows down, what other to do than roll down window and light up a cig. It also relieves
stress caused by the horrendous traffic jams. Its a slow ride, take it easy.
Coffee &
Cigarettes
-A movie starring
Bill Murray, (2003)
"Coffee and cigarettes,
man. That's a combina-
tion." Taken from the 2003
movie Coffee and Ciga-
rettes starring Bill Murray.
The perfect duo for a
smoker with a taste for
coffee. Hip coffee joints
such as "The Coffee Club"
provides such an expe-
rience. They provide an
outdoor seating area for
customers to enjoy their
coffee while smoking
around the company of
their friends.

Smoking
Cliques
Smoking cliques are not
uncommon in Malaysia.
Usually formed by chain
smoking. But as the say-
ing goes, the more the
merrier. However, the
man in the taupe colored
long sleeve shirt happens
to be smoking a vapouris-
er whereas the Grey shirt
man is smoking the con-
ventional cigarette.

Shisha
Session
Three best friends enjoy-
ing each others compa-
ny while having a shisha
on the side at an outdoor
food court. "We get to-
gether every Wednesday
to shisha. It is our way of
keeping in touch." said
one of the three friends.
If any longer, it would
become a tradition
amongst them.

Cloud Chaser
Cloud chasing refers to the Va-
pouriser challenge when Vaper's
(people who use Vapourisers) com-
pete with each other to see who
can blow a cloud of smoke to the
furthest distance. Mark Ergus with
his mint condition Vapouriser seems
to be up to the challenge. But for
now, he just vapes for the flavour
and because blowing dense clouds
of smoke is fun. A real human smoke
machine.
Smoke
Break
"We can't smoke in the
mall, so, here we are."
said the man. Malls,
restaurants, post office
and almost anyplace
indoors does not allow
smoking indoors. Hence,
smokers would have to
exit the building and find
a place to just chill and
smoke. In this couples
case, just beside the lane
of the carpark exit will do.
Smoke disperses through
the air as they continue in
their conversation.

Smoking In The
Moonlight
Where would be the best the place to
smoke under the moon? Where else
besides the roof. Up high where the wind
is cool and the air is thin at 5:00 am in
the morning. Don't forget to bring friends
along to share the moment. And also
to save you if you trip. An indescribable
feeling.
Acknowledgment
