EUROPEAN COMMISSION
DIRECTORATE-GENERAL
JOINT RESEARCH CENTRE
TASK FORCE "EXPO 2015"
Milan, 1 December 2015
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I hereby certify that
Mr/Ms
Jacopo MEGGIOLARO
has performed a traineeship at the EU pavilion of the European Union at the World Expo
2015 in Milan from 14/08/2015 to 31/08/2015.
The Traineeship Programme of the EU pavilion has been developed in collaboration with
Centro Servizi Volontariato (CSV) in Milan. It targets 1000 youngsters from European
countries, most of whom were/are Erasmus students. They have been chosen among
many thousands following an open call, an interview and a selection process. Prior to
join the EU pavilion, they passed a training programme including dedicated sessions on
the EU policies, its institutions and the activities of the EU at Expo Milan 2015.
At the EU Pavilion, the trainees had to take the role of "EU ambassadors" to welcome the
visitors and explain them the key messages of the EU visitors' experience: They were
also involved in the evaluation of the level of satisfaction of the visitors by means of
dedicated surveys. They were also given the opportunity to participate in the EU – Expo
scientific events.
I reckon the Traineeship Programme of the EU pavilion at Expo Milan 2015, as one of
the most successful outcomes of our participation.
