Our Party theme will be Peace to celebrate the unity of the United States. There will be some of the most important people in the war. Both Union and Confederate, but both are American. President Lincoln will be joining us as well. This is one night you dont want to miss. Theme for the Party
For an appetizer we will eat venison. The main course will be stew with gravy, onions, potatoes, and lamb with slices of bread. For dessert we will have chocolate covered strawberries. For drinks we have water and Coca-Cola. All this shall be prepared by some of the best chefs in the world including; Samuel Macchiato Mixon and Rigden Bob Wienken. Food
Fredrick DouglassFredrick Douglass was one of the major figures in the abolitionist movement.  He was a great speaker, an advisor to Lincoln during  the civil war, and a newspaper writer. He was one of the first great black speakers and fought for equality to all men.
Ulysses  S. GrantUlysses S Grant, started his military career by leading a small volunteer military unit. He quickly rose to the rank of General-in-Charge  and on April 9, 1865 he defeated the confederate forces at Appomattox courthouse. Then  in 1868 he was elected president of the united states.
Richard GatlingRichard Gatling was a well know inventor, with inventions including the Screw Propeller, the Rice-Sowing machine and many others. But his most famous invention was the Gatling Gun.  The United States purchased these guns for the Civil War in 1865, but few were used. They were continued to be used by the U.S. until 1911. Richard Gatling died in 1903 at the age of 85.
Abraham Lincoln grew up a boy in Illinois.  He grew up in a poor family and became self-educated. He became a lawyer and an Illinois State Legislator. He also became a one-term member of the House of Representatives. He was president during the Civil War and was famous for freeing the slaves.Abraham Lincoln
Thomas Jackson was one of the best Confederate Generals during the Civil War. In fact he was second to General Lee. During the Battle of Chancellorsville he was accidently shot by Confederate pickets. He survived but lost an arm in the process. However you must know that he will most definitely know who sent out these letters but General Jacksons been dead for nearly 2 years now. Harriet Tubman was an African American abolitionist, and a Union spy during the civil war. She freed dozens of slaves through the Underground Railroad. She also served for womens suffrage. She suffered throughout her life with brain trauma. Not one that crippled her, but gave her seizures, headaches, and powerful dream activity.Harriet Tubman
Benjamin PrentissUnion Major General Benjamin Prentiss organized a volunteer  company from his home town and was appointed  Colonel of the 7th Illinois regiment. He later got promoted to Brigadier General and was relocated to southern Missouri.  He was taken prisoner on the first day of the Battle of Shilo , along with the rest of his company. He was later released in October 1862, and continued his military career until he resigned in October 1863.

Henry Fleming is the protagonist from Stephen Cranes The Red Badge of Courage. He is a young boy who signed up for the army. He imagined the glories of coming home a war hero and he wanted that. He realizes though that war is not what he thought it was. In the end though he has changed immensely. Henry Fleming
Robert E. Lee was the main general for the Confederate Army. He is a graduate form West Point and a skilled officer. He was invited to lead the Union forces but refused saying he could not fight against his home state.Robert E. Lee
John Booth was an American stage actor. He is infamous for assassinating President Lincoln in Fords Theater. He was against abolitionist movements  which led him to be angry at giving slaves their basic rights. Of the conspiracy involving Lincoln, he was the only one who fully carried out the plan. Tubman: Come on now cant we get along? Were having a nice dinner tonight and fighting wont be good for any of us right now. So relax.Booth: Well Ms. Tubman,* narrows eyes* surprised to see you here. Last I heard you smuggled another dozen slaves to Canada.Tubman:*stoic face* Rumors are rumors and youve no proof.* Brightens up* Ah, our waiters back.Tobin: Here are your drinks-*sets down tray*- and the main course is on its way. Gatling:*nervous look* thank you Tobin. Uh, so hows everyone tonight? Henry? Im sure we would like to hear about you.Henry: Well I fought at Gettysburg, and was a pretty decent soldier in my regiment. However enough about me, Mr.  Gatling, why dont you tell everyone about that Gatling Gun you showed me just now?Gatling:*surprised* Well, um, you see it has many qualities tha-*CRASH** everyone stands up*Tobin: W-woops.* stands up* Oh great, I cant believed I tripped. I ruined Dinner! Rigden and Sam are going to be furious.Tubman: its ok Tobin we all make mistakes.Lee: But Im hungry now!Con.
Douglas: Lee I dont think nows a time to complain.*helps clear broken china*Grant: Hah! Rude and ignorant: Southerners amaze me.Lee: Thats it. * grabs nearest can of coke and shakes* take this * coke spills all over Grant*Grant: Well * wiping away the drink* if its war you want its war you get.
