Meghalaya are
Garo
Khasi
Jaintia
GARO: Wangala festival is an
important event of the Garos. This
festival marks the end of a period of
Toil, heralding a yield of good
harvest.
It is performed in honor of Saljoang
, the god of fertility.
KHASI : Nongkrem dance is a
religious festival in thanks giving to
god .Almighty for good harvest,
place and prosperity of the
community . It is held annually
during October / November , at snit,
the capital of the khyrin syienship
near shillong.

 Behdeinkhlam One of
Meghalaya's most

Behdeinkhlam, is
celebrated for three
days during July at
Jowai. The word
literally means 'driving
away of evil (plague)

 It is important to be open to difference and celebrate
it so that you can take advantage of everyone's
talent.
