Since 2014, the Netherlands has worked toward more sustainable urban logistics through the Green Deal Zero Emission City Logistics. Early years focused on local pilot projectssuch as city hubs, electric vehicles, and water transportdesigned as living labs to explore and learn. Following the 2019 Climate Agreement, the ambition increased: by 2025, 30 to 40 major municipalities aim to establish zero-emission zones, where only fully electric trucks and vans may operate.
