we have from Apollodorus is that
he sent Atlas there instead of going
himself.

Castello Ursino was built between 1239 and 1250, as one of the royal castles of
Emperor Frederick II, King of Sicily, and is mostly known for its role in the Sicilian
Vespers, when it became the seat of the Sicilian Parliament.
Today the castle is in good condition and it is open at the public as museum.
From the station to the castle:
Take SS114 in the direction of Alcal¨¤ street, continue on this street and turn right to
Cristoforo Colombo street, turn left to Plebiscito street, turn right to Grimaldi street
and continue to Federico Di Svevia square.
From the airport to the castle:
Take Priolo street and SS114 in the direction of Alcal¨¤ street, follow the signs for
Catania centre, continue to Priolo street and turn right to Aquicella street, go
straight. Take Plebiscito street and continue in the direction of Federico Di Svevia
square.
