This document provides guidelines for households on self-isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. It states that if the first person in a household shows symptoms, they must self-isolate for 7 days and anyone else who displays symptoms afterwards must self-isolate for 7 days from when their own symptoms appeared. Household members who do not show symptoms must self-isolate for 14 days from the first day the initial person showed symptoms, as that covers the maximum incubation period. The self-isolation period does not need to be restarted if additional household members develop symptoms during the 14 day period. It provides examples to illustrate how the guidelines would apply in different household situations.
