The project involved designing five nodes placed in a series along an existing path to tell the story of Pomona's history, from past to present to future. The node design was inspired by a film reel and wraps around the path. The site chosen sits near other community buildings and features views of Mount Cooroora. The building design mimics the mountain and keeps void spaces open to signify the landscape's historical importance. It allows circulation that experiences a journey through time.
2. The node design was based on the concept of telling a story, with that story being Pomoa's History. For
that reason, the five nodes where placed in a series, going through history, from the past to the present,
and looking into the future.

3. Node Design
The form of the node intallation was taken from a film reel, and manipulated to
create intruige in the structure by wrapping around the existing path to give an
invitaion to enter.

5. Site Selection
Using a morphological analysis of
Pomona, the most appropriate site
was chosen (below), as it is situated
around other community buildings.

There is a significant view of Mount Cooroora
(Purple) and a pedestrian/Cycle route
through the site (Orange)
8. Design Developement
The building will mimic Mount Cooroora
The void spaces will remain open to air in order
to signify the historical importance of the
landscape of Pomona.
9. Design Proposal
The windows and paths
have been positioned in
relation to the view of
Mount Cooroora as it is of
historical importance and
therfore, relates to the
purpose of the civic
building
The circulation of the
building allows for
pedestrians and cyclists to
experience the journey
through time, with an
endless circulation.

10. Design Proposal
The floorplaln has been shaded by
function in order to show the spatial
arrangement of the civic architecture
proposal for pomona. This highlights
the main structures (developed from
the node) and the open connections
(circulation areas)
