GOAL: To create a platform for our students to understand the Federal application and vetting process.
HOW: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ? Decoding the Federal Resume: then guide them on how to create or correct their existing Federal profiles. ? Educate students about the plethora of Federal Agencies and differentiate the requirements of each agency ? Set expectations of the Federal vetting process ? Prepare in advance for tests and other prerequisites ? Educate on security clearance and how one obtains it ? Educate about Pathways program ? Explore career paths in the Federal job sector ? Educate about private sector with government contracts: internships and employment

Fed USA JOBS & PATHWAYS Decoding the USAJOBS site: resources, decoding federal job titles and their civilian and military equivalencies. Social Media & USAJobs.gov 6/15/16 OPM OFFICE OF PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT Agency rep will discuss issues they face with identifying talent and what helps candidate resumes standout. 6/8/16 7 PM FEDERAL AGENCIES Decoding Federal Agencies they could potentially apply for in addition to FBI, CIA, DHS, et.al. (Panel) 6/22/16 FED JOBS PRIVATE SECTOR Highlight private sector companies with Federal Contracts (CyberSecurity, etc.) Educate and provide follow up resources on these companies for potential internship or employment. Pros and Cons of going this route 6/29/16 SNHU CONNECT FOLLOW UP : Each presentation will have a corresponding activity on SNHUConnect or some social platform - still TBD at this time.
FED JOBS PRIVATE SECTOR Highlight private sector companies with Federal Contracts (CyberSecurity, etc.) Educate and provide follow up resources on these companies for potential internship or employment. Pros and Cons of going this route 6/29/16 VIRTUAL HIRING EVENT (THROUGH BRAZEN IN AUGUST 2016): Following the lunch and learn series in June, we should finish the series with a job/internship fair for private industries with Federal Contracts to help students gain relevant experience and connect with employers. Reference attached lists compiled in Excel on companies to target for this virtual event.
