eLearning Guild DemoFest Presentation of my SharePoint course:
An introduction to SharePoint Content Manager rights. It includes interactive simulations that provide instruction and opportunities to practice using content manager rights.
#3: We need to train pilot members in 2 weeks, the remaining SharePoint Content Managers after the pilot.
#4: Time, developing as pilot occurring, interface, process changes, policies, etc.
Course development coincided with the SharePoint/Intranet upgrade. There were challenges in having to access pilot versions of the interface and needing to adapt instruction and simulations while changes to the pilot versions occurred. Training members of the pilot prior to the final version of the course was also needed.
#5: I had to be a very active member of the pilot group as well as sit in with the IT development team in order to stay aware and adapt to interface changes affecting the training.
I developed pilot materials and that was used as the starting point for course design.
#6: I leveraged two eLearning development tools to create the course and a graphics editor.
Development tools and why they were selected
Storyline for rapidly building the course interface and assessment (more effective)
Captivate for the ¡°Try-Me¡± sims
Photoshop for many of the graphics, especially editing screens within sims
Our organizations LMS was used too
#10: The menu for learning each task. Non-linear ¨C helpful for anyone revisiting or using it as a refresher.
Yes, they need to complete all if they want to know everything addressed in the final quiz.
#15: Start for Knowledge page
Also encourages audience to visit the additional resources menu, which has important support materials and link to the Wiki. The Jhome Wiki will be very helpful to them later when they start using SharePoint.
