Plan Chest for a Bristol Publisher

A plan chest built using recycled materials for Bristol Publisher Richard Jones of Tangent Books. The chest was made entirely from scraps and bits left over from other projects and skirting boards rescued from their doom. The finish was painted wood and really strongly patterned wallpaper.

This commission asked for something that combined traditional and contemporary with a little spoony twist. The brief here was to use reclaimed wood and materials to create a new interior for a hairdressers in Bristol. We were lucky to have a ready supply of handles, mouldings and door furniture from the workshop of two generations of carpenters.
