A lot of adjectives in English are made
from verbs by adding Ed/-Ing, which
are known as suffixes.
 Interest + -ed => interested
 Interest + -ing => interesting.

WHEN TO USED ED ADJECTIVES
-Ed Adjectives are used to describe
feelings or emotions.
 Example: I am bored because I have
stayed at home all day . (meaning: you
feel bored).
WHEN TO USED ING ADJECTIVES
-ING Adjectives are used to describe
how a person/a thing/a situation makes
you feel(characteristics).
 Example: Staying at home is boring
because there is nothing to do.
(meaning: Staying at home makes you
feel bored).

I know its still confusing for many learners when ti comes to ed/-ing adjectives. It happened to me when I studied English as well. Dont worry. In this video, I will make it very simple and easy for you to understand.

  • #5: Here are some common ed and ing adjectives . The adjectives highlighted in red have negative meanings. next, Im gonna show you when to use the ed and ing adjectives, which is the most important part of the lesson today.

It seems that everyone feel sleepy while hes talking. Therefore, which do you think is correct to say : his presentation is boring or bored? Well, the correct answer is boring.
