Who  is the audience? interests? needs?
What? What do you want them to know? How will you tell if they understand? What do you want them to do?
How ? Best way to present your ideas Organization:  Beginning, middle and end Visual aids or handouts?
When? How much time do you have? Normally paced speaking.
Why? Your subject is important to you and you want your audience to understand it!
Organize your speech in a logical sequence Opening: Introduce what you are going to talk about. Middle:  Discuss topic and give at least three important points. Conclusion:  Summarize and propose action.
Create an attention-grabbing opening
Practice makes perfect!
Presentation tips Take a deep breath.  Pause, smile and count to three before saying anything. Look around at everyone.
Presentation tips Speak clearly and audibly Concentrate on the message. No matter how nervous you may feel, dont tell the audience!
Body language Enter confidently. Stand up straight! Move naturally.
. Maintain good eye contact with the audience Look at the whole audience. Do not read your speech. Boring!
Use gestures when appropriate.
Use visuals and stories relevant to your topic
Wear comfortable and professional-looking clothes
Self-evaluation Reflect on your presentation and answer these questions. Did I speak clearly?  Was the audience able to hear me?  Did I speak at the right pace?  Did I make eye contact with the audience?  Did I connect with the audience?  Did I Use visual aids? Hand-outs?
