Prayer can take many forms and be done in various places and situations. While some question whether prayer works, the author believes prayer can have tangible effects and outcomes, like specific petitions for healing that cannot be explained medically and may be considered miracles. The purpose of life is to praise and worship God, and prayer is how people communicate with God in their difficulties, asking for help or things they want. While answers may not come when expected, the author's experience is that God is kind and grants requests, so the efficacy of prayer should not be doubted as prayers do have the power to be answered in their own time.

Efficacy of prayer
1. EFFICACY OF PRAYER
All of us pray for various reasons in various place, style and time. Some would like to pray in
silence, where they speak to God in silence. Some other would like to play in the loud music,
singing and worshiping God for example prayer service in the retreat centers. Some people
would like to go to the lonely place to pray with the help of the nature. Some pray in their
happiness and other in their sorrow and difficulties. A firm believer of God prays thinking that
there is God who listen to my prayer, at the same time the atheist prays thinking there is no God
for him. Therefore all the human beings pray.
To be clear: I believe that it is the joyful privilege of Christians to pray for "the sick, the
friendless, and the needy" and for "those in any kind of trouble. I believe such prayer may and
ought to include specific petitions for specific outcomes. I also believe that God can and does act
in the lives of those who pray and those who are prayed for in such ways as effects their healing,
and that such healings often cannot be readily explained by medical science and may indeed,
from a perspective of faith, be classified as miracles.
Actually speaking I have heard people saying prayer works how? Like a screwdriver
certainly works to drive a screw. A hammer works to drive a nail. A lawn mower works to cut the
grass. There is an evident and expected outcome to the use of each of these tools, provided that
they are in good condition and employed under appropriate circumstances by a knowledgeable
user. In the same way when I say prayer work one should know how to use it as a tool to get our
wish done.
The purpose of our life is that; God created us so that we may be thankful to him, praise
him all our days, and worship him with all our heart, mind and soul. People walk and pray, sit
down and pray, kneel down and pray, lie down and pray etc. however what is important is that
they pray in their own comfort. Most often we pray in our difficult situations that god may
redeem us from our difficulties or if we want anything we pray that god will somehow grant to
us through someone. Of course god is so kind and tender hearted that whatever we ask him he
will grant to us this is my experience too. So we do not doubt of efficacy of prayer. We should
firmly believe that god will give what we ask.
2. The difference between God and man is that God: gives, gives, gives, and forgives. But man:
gets, gets, gets, and forgets. So in no way that we can blame God that he is not giving or he is
not listening to our prayers. He grants whatever we ask and whatever we dont ask him also. He
knows what to give us. But the time we expect may not be that time when God decides to give
us. But at the end he makes sure that we get what we wanted. That is the power of prayer. A
doctor wants a positive result from his treatment, in the same way we also want to have a
positive result from our prayers. Yes our prayers bring positive results for us in time that we
dont expect. Some prayers are answered immediately some are delayed but we should not lose
our hope. And we should not doubt the efficacy of our prayer. For prayer has power to bring
down our wishes true.
