Electrical Energy Conservation through Power Quality Improvement
Energy Conservation especially Electrical Energy Conservation is gathering huge interest which is no surprise for a power deficit Country like India. More so in the present scenario wherein the power supply is intermittent in many areas and power prices are increasing exponentially. Energy Conservation should not be looked at in isolation but in totality. For instance Power Quality which is the quality of electrical power in the plant or facility is an important aspect in Energy Conservation. If the power quality is not upto the mark then it can hamper Energy Conservation efforts. Power Quality mainly refers to various important parameters including Harmonics, Voltage Fluctuations, Sags, Swells etc. Of these Harmonics is one of the most serious issues and definitely results in Energy wastage.
