This document discusses two extinct animals from Peru and Romania. The first was a freshwater fish from Romania called Techirghiol Bitterling that lived in streams flowing into a coastal lake. It went extinct in 1960 likely due to hybridization. The second was a species of fish called Titicaca Orestias that lived in Lake Titicaca in Peru. It became extinct in 1950 due to competition introduced by trout.
