- 2. TALK SHOW Nowadays talk show or chat show had become the famous and one of the favorite program watches by everybody especially American and Australian. A television or radio show in which noted people, such as authorities in a particular field, participate in discussions or are interviewed and often answer questions from viewers or listeners. ( Houghton Mifflin Company, 2009).They discuss various type of topic include social topics, love and relationship, parenting, political and other more interesting topics. They will invite some guests such as politicians, actor or singer to attend the talk show and talk about their works and personal lives as well as their latest or project before. Most of the host will make fun of the celebrity interview, musical performance or social news and it has become one of the funny parts during the talk show and it has attracted many people to watch the talk show on time. The Daily Show now is the one of the most popular and well known program that must be watched by mostly American and Australian. It is an American late night comedy satirical television program that host by Jon Steward since year 1999 after the first host, Craig Kilborn. The Daily Show has become the most trusted source for political news on television. The Daily Show had won many awards. As for the Ricki Lake show, it is a daytime tabloid talk show which hosted by Ricki Lake, an American actress. The Ricki Lake show mostly care about social issue. Its original run was on 313 September 1993 until 2004. The Ricki Lake show mostly attracts younger audience because its topic is funny and mostly based on younger person position. The Daily Show which hosted by Jon Steward was a late night comedy and satire television program. After Jon Steward had taken over the program from Craig Kilborn, the first host, the show are now mostly focused on politics and had national wide. The Daily Show make comedy and satire on current events, covering politics, technology, trends, pop culture, sports and entertainment. He also had involved in interviewing the famous politicians, comedians, celebrities and more. Jon had interviewed famous politicians such as former Presidents, Jimmy Carter and Bill Cinnton, current United States President Barack Obama, famous celebrity such as Tom Cruise and Tom Hawks. Besides that, Jon Steward lead a team of correspondence with him to tackle the real news, political figures, media organizations with taped field pieces and on the spot coverage of important issues. The program is now popular among the young audiences. Most of them think that the daily show news headlines are more interested than the CNN news headlines because the daily show uses the funny method to show the current issues. The Ricki Lake show was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award during1 1994 but they didnt won it at last. In the conclusion, the Daily show are most related to political news where the Ricki Lake Show most related to problem that mostly people facing in their daily life. Most of us can knew more news in an interested and exciting ways through watching the Daily Show and learn many skill of solving daily life problem with watching the Ricki Lake show. Both talk shows had their own specially and their own faithful audience and they are still famous for long time. Both talk shows are very interesting and excited to watch.
