The neighborhood of Prado in Medellin was developed in 1926 and features luxury homes built in European styles with local craftsmanship. It has wide streets, gardens, and large trees and is recognized as an outstanding example of architecture from that time period. Some of Medellin's main parks and churches are located in El Poblado, including Parque Lleras which is a popular meeting spot. The 10th street and President creek park form a pedestrian corridor connecting different parts of the area. The Flower Festival is Medellin's most recognized celebration, attracting domestic and foreign visitors over 10 days each year.
