ENIAC, the first general-purpose electronic digital computer built in 1946, was a modular computer composed of individual panels to perform different functions. From the 1980s to 2000s, computing evolved with people, processes, and technology working together. In 2015, the Cloud Native Computing Foundation was formed and focused on developing applications using loosely coupled microservices and functions that leverage scalable platforms through standardized interfaces, moving away from monolithic architecture.
