Q4. Who would be the
audience for your
media product?
Female
Our film is going to appeal much more of a female
audience because both main characters are females.
Having both protagonist and antagonist shows our film is
targeted at woman just as much, if not more than men.
Male
With men stereotypically liking violence, tension and
suspense and just all things conventional of a thriller, our
film fits the bill perfectly. Murders and blood will attract
the male audience to our film
Social Class
Our film would be appealing more to the working class.
As these situations are more relatable to the working class
than any other class, we would stereotype our audience
being working class. We may have a hint of lower middle
class due to the fact the antagonist looks very smart and
professional.
Ethnicty
Black/White: Were more likely to have more white people watching
the film than black people as the majority of characters are white.
However, both ethnicities are within the working class, so we cant
predict weather itll be a larger majority of white people.
Asian: Having the antagonist really extends beyond a target
audience/market, meaning weve got a much bigger appealing factor
towards other audiences which other thrillers might not have. As an
independent film we may not have the appealing factor for massive
companies, but places like china have a load of money within the
film industry, meaning if our film was picked up and developed, our
film has a better chance at maximising profits.
