mountain biking event held on a course

races are held on steep, rocky off-road
terrain, often involving jumps as high as
4-5 meters.
Not any king of bike is used for this
kinds of competitions, but full-
suspension bikes, with large tires, disc
brakes and special geometrics for the
frame(!).
The safety gear used for this sport is
again very professional, involving full
body armor and a full face helmet(!).
Some of these bikes and gear can be as
expensive as 10 000 euros.

4. Wingsuit flying is the sport of flying the human body
through the air using a special equipment, called a
wingsuit. The wingsuit creates the surface area with fabric
between the legs and under the arms. A wingsuit may be
referred to as a birdman suit or squirrel suit(!).
Often this wingsuit flying is done near canyons (!),
increasing the danger of the sport.

5. Surfing is a extreme sport in which
individuals paddle into a wave on a
surfboard, jump to their feet, and
are propelled across the water by
the force of the wave, which is most
often carrying the surfer towards
shore.
These waves can be as high as 7-8
meters putting the surfer at danger
of drowning in the rare occasion
where the wave collapses over him.

6. Snowboarding and skiing are
