The first female surgeon and physician in the UK, she is certainly one of the most important women in the history of civilization. She also became the first female doctor in France, the first female dean of a medical school in the UK, the first British female mayor, and founded a hospital run entirely by women.
OPRAH WINFREY PHILANTHROPIST, ACTRESS, BUSINESSWOMAN, HUMANITARIAN Oprah is the epitome of a rags to riches tale. She has come from an extremely challenging background to cultivating herself a global empire with which she has helped countless people and communities worldwide.
