• Alex is part of a new sixth form
• He finds it difficult making friends due to past experiences.
• So he decides to keep to himself and turn to music and his two
people he previously went to school with.

Narrative

• So he remains an outcast.

• Alex is looking to get in to the ‘band’ which is part of an
intimidating, rebellious and popular group.
• Alex is a fantastic musician, he plays various musical
instruments, but is most confident at playing electric guitar.

• As the audience we believe this is mainly to gain recognition
from his ‘love interest’.
• His love interest is the female lead singer of ‘the band’.
• However obstacles stand in his way as he has a Socially
disadvantaged background.

• Gets picked on for being different like Alex.
This is one of the main things that they have in common.

SARAH

• 16-18 years of age
• Has an interest in Literature and Art.
• Sarah is a loyal friend and has stood by Dan’s side
through out of the torment and bullying he has encountered.

However the loyalty has never really been returned.

• Sarah starts to question whether she wants to
be friends with someone who can’t reflect the
same respect.
• Sarah has also never really fitted in, however
she has had many opportunities to climb the ‘social ladder’ but chose not to.
Mainly because it didn’t involve the movement of Simon and Dan.
OLIVIA
• Olivia is the ‘love interest’ of our
protagonist.
• Olivia is in the best band at the school and
is admired for being a strong and powerful
female lead singer.
