This document provides guidelines for designing flexible printed circuits. It recommends filleting all pads to reduce stress points and prevent breaking during flexing. It also suggests using tie-downs captured by coverlay to anchor copper and prevent separation, as well as radiused traces to reduce breaking during folding and bending. The document advises against I-beam conductor designs and recommends staggering conductors for flexibility, and using a minimum 12mil overlap of stiffeners and coverlay termination lines to avoid stress points.
