RTI (Reflectance Transformation Imaging previously known as ptm) is a photographic method that captures a subjects surface shape and color and enables the interactive re-lighting of the subject from any direction. The object is photographed many times from a stationary camera position in each photograph the light is projected from a different known direction and angle. This process produces a series of images of the same subject with varying highlights and shadows. A free software generates a mathematical model of the surface. This delaminated fragment in the video has been imaged in a dome 44 times.
