Herbert Grönemeyer is a German musician born on April 12, 1956 in Göttingen, Germany. He took up piano lessons at age eight and found success in 1984 with the release of his album "Bochum" which was the best selling album in Germany that year. His most famous album is "Bochum" and though he has had a successful musical career, he has not won any major prizes for his work.
