Grade 7 were introduced to conversion of length, mass and capacity. The students of grade 7 presented their understanding of the unit through presentations. They were divided into 4 groups. Each group chose a country, like China, India, Mesopotamia etc., wherein they researched about the chosen civilization/country's history of unit conversion, when those civilizations started having measuring units for commodities etc. Students also presented some fun facts about unit conversions practiced in these countries. Grades 8 and 9 also attended the presentation and actively participated in a small quiz conducted by each group. The students completely enjoyed the activities and learned a lot from it. Read less
