According to their charter, the IBO of New York was established in 1973 to promote the business interests of its members while facilitating networking and professional development opportunities such as meetings, discussions and seminars. Similarly, the Irish-American Bar Association of New York (IABANY), of which Mr. Shanaphy is also a member, offers the local legal community, a place to connect and share knowledge and experiences. The IABANY offers social, cultural, and educational events throughout the year in New York City, and welcome members of Irish descent and heritage as well as those who are interested in Irish culture.
