In some cases you want TM1 to create subtotals which are not predefined by the administrator.
This can be of great help for both the End Users and the developer in analysing data.
In our how to video Create User-Defined Consolidations in TM1 we showed you how you can do it on the fly.
Unfortanately you can not save these custom roll up. In the next slides we wil show you how to create a custom sub set you can save.
In our example we want a roll up of Region A and Region B. To do so.
Double click on the dimension you want your custom roll up. In this case Region.
The subset editor is now open.
select Region A and Region B
Next click on the Green OK sign
Save the subset and click on OK and on the ok from the subset
Open an subset from the dimension and expand to all. Or select any subset in which you want to add your custom subset in.
Next edit and insert subset
Now choose the subset we just created and click on OK
You just added our My_Cons subset into an other subset. You can save the subset as you like.
And this is how it looks in your view
