1) What type of warm up didyoudeliver?Technical,physical?
CEZAR- Generally,I go fora mixed one,both technical and physical. Eg skips
2) How longdidyoucoach strength?
CEZAR- 20 minutesper training.And it reachesa maximumof 3 times during a week.
3) To make themrecoverafterstrengthtraining,youmade themrecoverthroughacouple of minutes
of jugglingaroundwiththe ball.How longwasthatfor? What wasthe purpose?
CEZAR- 3 minutes.Aim wasdeveloping techniquewhilerecovering.It is harderbutmore efficient.
4) Afterstrength,youcoacheda technical session(unopposed) basedonpassing,receivingand
switchingpositions.DidIgetthemesright?
CEZAR- Yes, you did.
5) Was the set upof thispassingdrill a4-3-3 module?
CEZAR- No,thatwasa 4-2-3-1.
6) Then,youdeliveredapossessiongame session.Itwasunopposed.Passivepressingandfinishingby
crossing. How longdidyoudo itfor? At the endof the game,there wasa 300 yardslap training.
Why didyoudo that? Andwhydidyou mix endurance withstrength?
CEZAR- Theme was‘Possession with opponentsbeing outnumbered,8v8+2 jolly,goalcountsonly
by head. I mixed endurancewithstrength,asIwas not specifically working on strength.Moreover,
it is a period of intensephysicalskills development.
7) Why weren’t GKsinvolvedfor the whole session?
CEZAR- They train twice per week with their related GK Coach.
8) Duringthe free game,I sawyou tellingplayerstomake a few sit-ups.Whywasthat?Was it a sort
of punishment?Whatdoyouthinkyou mayobtainfromthisapproach?
CEZAR- Yes, it was a sortof.They did it, becausethey had an argue.
9) I particularlylikedthe dominionyouhadonplayers.WhenIcoachedin England,one thingwhich
one of mymentorsmade me notice,andaccording to herI needtowork onwas the absolute
control of players.Whatare the benefitsof these?
CEZAR- Controlling teamis crucial. At theend of the day,it is thecoach the one who is chargefor
running thewholesquad.They need to know who is the head of all. And that’stypical of my
personality.I’mlike that,discipline is very importantforme. I also havean assistantcoach who is
an importantpartof my workbuthe is sick atthe moment.
10) I saw duringthe free game,youdidn’tletplayerstalk.Whywasthatfor?
