This document discusses three extinct animals that were found in Spain: the Cantabrian capercaillie bird, which went extinct in 1967 due to overhunting for its feathers; the Canis lupus signatus wolf, which was found in the Iberian Peninsula for centuries but is now at serious risk of extinction; and the last census in Spain found approximately 2,000 remaining Iberian wolves.
