- 2. The Inspiration I was born into football and it has been a big part of my entire life. My father was a dedicated High School Coach (in several Halls of Fame as a coach and player) who used the game to help kids build strong character and learn valuable life skills. He taught me the importance of having sky high values, rock solid integrity and an unshakable belief in my dreams. Partnering with NFL players to make this world a better place is my dream. My late mother was the epitome of pure love and the kindest person I have ever known. Her love for children was awe-inspiring. She always had hot cookies waiting for us when we came home from school. After we grew up and left home, she joyfully continued the tradition with children she didnt even know. The Insightful Player速 is a series of inspiring stories, programs and interviews featuring high integrity current and former NFL players who have joined Chrissy Carew in her mission to lift the spirit of the NFL s worldwide audience and in particular kids. Insightful Player does this through a published book Insightful Player: Football Pros Lead a Bold Movement of Hope, website and by teaming with leading partners like the National Football Players Association and National Education Association, among others. Over 45 current and former players have granted Insightful Player速 the rights to use their unique stories. More players are joining the team on a monthly basis. The Insightful Player速 stories, programs and interviews give an inside look at the players including: what they are most passionate about, mistakes they made, obstacles they have overcome. They also share lessons they learned that help shape them into the extraordinary people they are. Insightful Player速 will leverage professional athletes positive influence over todays youth by bringing their heartwarming stories and their live presence at events with follow-up life coaching intended to cement learning, growth, and faith in ones own abilities. Coaching helps people create internal shifts that turn into permanent improvements. It helps people to make leaps in their thinking, their confidence and their performance. The human spirit carries within it immense power. It is never too early to start introducing our children to this power and helping them learn to corral it.
