Waldorf education was developed by Rudolf Stainer in 1919 based on understanding human development and the needs of growing children. The basic principles of Waldorf education include establishing rhythms and routines, allowing children to imitate practical activities like cooking and gardening, and encouraging imagination through stories, art, and natural toys. Other principles are eurhythmy which combines movement, poetry and music, and creating a warm, home-like environment for learning.
