1) Yuan Ze University established a Gerontechnology Research Center to conduct research on technologies to support the aging population. 2) The Center develops smart home technologies like WhizPAD and WhizCARPET that can monitor seniors' health and activities through sensors in the bed and floor. 3) The Center also researches social robots like Hug and TRiCmini that can help seniors with mobility and social interaction through features like video chat and facial expression recognition.
