This document discusses different types of social learning including screencasts, podcasts, and multimedia. Screencasts are video recordings of a computer screen that are helpful for visual and sequential learners. Podcasts are audio recordings that cover a variety of topics and are easy to listen to on mobile devices. Multimedia incorporates multiple media types such as text, audio, video and graphics to make content easier to understand than just text. The authors found screencasts to be the most interesting as they allow pausing and rewinding. They were surprised by how ubiquitous multimedia has become. They want to learn more about podcasts and subscribe to podcasts on topics they enjoy. After ITEC, one author plans to continue using podcasts

Investigation
? Most interesting: Screencasts
? Screencasts are a great learning tool for us learners who are
Visual and Sequential. It is much easier to view a slide and be
able to go at your own pace than watch a lecture in real
time.
? Surprised us: Multimedia
? Multimedia is the basis of most technology whether it be cell
phones and tablets or social networking sites. Everywhere we
look there is multimedia.
? We want more: Podcasts
? Podcasts are extremely underrated and we will definitely look
into subscribing to podcasts that cover topics we are
interested in such as sports or politics.

? We will continue to use: Podcasts
? Podcasts are a great learning tool that can be
viewed or listened to at almost any time. I am going
to download podcasts on my phone to listen to
while I am driving, instead of wasting my time
listening to the same music over and over again.
