The presentation I gave at the State Library of Queensland event "Libraries in a Google world". Other presenters included @carolgauld, @libsmatter, @jemimaeve, @franciskneebone. We were asked to talk about the role of libraries in a Google world. The briefing we were given for the panel included this statement: "Libraries need to reassert themselves as providers of balanced and significant information." My presentation unpacked this statement and challenged it. Because I don't believe that's the role of libraries in a Google world.
