Los Angeles Homeless Count
LASTRA and the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council join other community partners, and members for the Los Angeles Homeless Count. This past Thursday, January28th LASTRA joined the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council as their community partner to help combat homelessness around Los Angeles county. It was our inaugural event together to engage the community, and be a part of a broader coalition of stakeholders throughout Los Angeles to combat the very serious problem of homelessness in our city and beyond. The homeless count is the critical project that determines the funding that will be allocated from local, state, and federal government agencies to combat the growing homeless crisis in LA. Combating homelessness is one of LASTRA's main objectives, and we were proud to do it alongside the Central Hollywood Neighborhood Council. We are stronger as a city, when we join together to solve the problems presented before us with great ingenuity, a lot of compassion, and the spirit of cooperation. We are looking forward to continuing this very healthy relationship, and doing our part to make our communities thrive!
