Y5 Batik Arts Week 2009 was a week-long event where Year 5 students learned about and created their own batik art. Students learned the history and techniques of batik, an ancient art of wax-resist dyeing developed in Indonesia. They experimented with wax and dyes to design and produce their own unique batik fabrics.
