The document discusses the climate, plants, and animals found in savannah regions. It notes that the winter temperature in savannahs is typically between 68 to 78 degrees Fahrenheit, while the summer is usually between 78 to 86 degrees. It then lists several plants common to savannahs, such as acacia trees, grasses, and baobab trees. Finally, it mentions various animal species that live in savannahs, including lions, zebras, rhinos, and many bird and insect species.
Rainforests are located in tropical areas around the world where the weather is hot and damp around 25 degrees. The document discusses rainforest animals, plants, and weather conditions. It also provides information about a butterfly garden exhibit that allows visitors to view hundreds of butterfly species like the tawny owl and monarch emerging from pupae during daily butterfly releases. The butterflies come from Central and South American butterfly farms that help preserve habitats while providing income to local families.
This document discusses how developer evangelists can successfully sell to developers. It advocates defining sales as a service and long-term relationship built on empathy, rather than a transaction. The speaker recommends starting conversations by sharing an opinionated tech perspective to engage skepticism, then letting developers try the software independently to build credibility through a good experience. If the software works well, developers will return and buy, with the entire sale resting on product quality rather than manipulation. Holistic sales involve adding value early through helpful content while respecting developers' independence and intellect.

The document summarizes key details about the Arctic tundra biome. It describes the extreme seasonal differences, with summer temperatures reaching 12属C but winter temperatures plunging to as low as -70属C. Approximately 1700 plant species have adapted to survive the harsh conditions of the tundra. Several animal species also live in the tundra, including Arctic foxes, caribou, lemmings, and polar bears. The document provides examples of plant and animal species found in the Arctic tundra biome.
The tundra has very cold temperatures year-round, with winter temperatures reaching as low as -30 degrees. Winters are extremely cold and dark, with the sun barely rising above the horizon. Summer lasts only 6-10 weeks. The constant wind whips the snow around, creating blizzard-like conditions every day. Most animals live in burrows to escape the harsh weather.
The document discusses lions and grasslands. It notes that female lions do most of the hunting for their cubs in the pride. It also mentions that many female lions give birth around the same time. When a new male lion enters the pride, it sometimes kills the baby lion cubs. The document also provides information about grasslands, stating that they contain lots of plants like herbs, flowers, and weeds, and are home to many animal species, such as hawks, deer, lions, giraffes, wolves, antelope, grasshoppers, snakes, and mice. Grasslands can have varying climates including warm, cold, and rainy conditions.
America is in a health crisis, in this presentation I teach on the importance of nutrition as the basis for health and longevity. I talk about nutrition 101, how to shop for super foods, being a smarter consumer, and a beginners dieting plan for success.
The marine climate has the coldest average of 12 degrees and hottest of 28.5 degrees. Temperature is warmer near the equator and colder near the poles. The marine affects mainland climates through water temperature and wind patterns. Marine environments are found in oceans worldwide like the Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Atlantic. They contain plants like various algae and seaweeds. Animals include fish, dolphins, whales, jellyfish, turtles, and sharks. Sharks have strong jaws and replace teeth. The blue ringed octopus is a highly poisonous marine animal known for its blue rings.
The document discusses various aspects of rainforests including climate, plants, animals, and food chains. It notes that the temperature in rainforests is hot and damp with no dry season. It also mentions that an area the size of a football field is destroyed every second, and that giant bamboo can grow up to 9 inches per day. The largest rainforest is the Amazon, which covers much of South America. The document then describes some common rainforest plants such as banana trees, wild ginger, coconut trees and bamboo, and provides details on their characteristics. Finally, it lists some examples of rainforest animals like elephants, frogs, red deer, and monkeys and provides 1-2 sentences on each. The last section depicts
The document discusses various aspects of the marine biome, including climate, locations, plants, animals, and food webs. It provides information on average weather, monsoon patterns, major ocean locations, common marine plants like seagrasses and mangroves, animals such as jellyfish, seahorses, and box jellyfish, and food chain examples.

Students are creating informational reports about their biomes as slide shows to publish on 際際滷 Share. They will generate QR codes linking to their slide shows using an app, print the codes, and display them by their biome projects. People can then scan the codes with their smart phones to view the student slide shows on their devices.
XML (extensible markup language) is a language for structuring documents with tags. It can be transformed to HTML for the web. With XML, documents contain both content and metadata tags that identify the role of content. References and other elements can be actively linked. XML tagging of documents according to standards like NLM DTD makes the content machine-readable, cross-platform, and discoverable on the semantic web.

The document discusses the tundra biome and some of its key features. It notes that the tundra is one of the coldest biomes and is found in areas around the Arctic, including Alaska, Canada, and northern Russia. It lists several plant and animal species common to the tundra, such as arctic moss, arctic willow, polar bears, arctic foxes, and snow leopards. The document also illustrates how extinction of one species, such as deer, could negatively impact other species higher on the food chain, like snow lions, demonstrating the interconnectedness of ecosystems.

The tundra biome has an average temperature of -28 degrees Fahrenheit and can drop as low as -70 degrees. It is characterized by permanently frozen soil called permafrost that extends over 450 meters deep. Though cold, the ocean helps regulate temperatures from becoming too extreme. The tundra covers 10% of the Earth's surface and is home to herbivores like caribou and lemmings, and carnivores such as arctic foxes and polar bears that hunt them.
