Chuck Lamb, known as The Dead Body Guy, has a strange hobby of playing dead and taking photos and videos of himself to post online. His unusual hobby went public in 2005 and has since led to appearances on television shows and in films. The earliest origins of pretending to be dead can be traced back to a popular 1990s Japanese manga where the main character would play dead as a prank on his mother.

Lamb went public with his hobby back in 2005 and has been successful ever since. He has appeared in various TV shows and films, these include: STIFFS, Thankskilling, C.S.I and Law & Order.
The earliest origin of playing dead can be traced back to Crayon Shin-Chan , a popular 90s Japanese manga by Yoshito Usui. In the series, Shin-chan (the main character) often plays a prank on his mother by pretending to be dead on the floor as she returns home from running errands.
