Proud, Inspirational and Memorable Memories
R.H. King Academy
Being the youngest in my family, I
constantly faced the pressures of
succeeding and following in my
siblings¡¯ footsteps. At first, high
school was intimidating with the
new change of environments. I
quickly found myself in trouble and
not doing well in school. I knew
this had to change in order to
succeed, please my parents and
graduate to move on to bigger and
better things. But, I first needed to
get help, which is why I turned to
my teachers and guidance
counsellors for advice and tips in
order to do well. Soon enough, I
was on the right path again and
found myself motivated to do well
in school.
A Major Milestone
Despite all the troubles I faced in my four
years of high school, my biggest
accomplishment was graduating from
R.H. King Academy. The friends I met
and the experiences I encountered are
some of the main components to who I
am today. Regardless of my struggles, I
continuously stayed optimistic and
persevered to succeed. I learned that
things in life are not always going to go in
your favor, but you need to be strong
enough to overcome the obstacles. I
grew stronger with each and every
experience I faced and showed myself,
as well as everyone else that I would not
give up. I stayed positive and graduation
was a reflection of the young man I have
become.
My Family, My Motivation
This photo was taken at a family reunion and there is no one else other than my
family to thank for the person I have grown to become. With their constant support
and advice, I was able to learn and grow into an optimistic young man. My family has
shown me that as long as I put my mind to a goal, there is nothing that will stop me.
They are the reason for my success as a student and an aspiring individual today. I
have learned to be independent and how to manage my time by viewing my dad¡¯s
work ethics and my mom¡¯s ability to raise a family while both of them learning to live
in a new country.
Job Fair - Interviews
This photo was taken a couple minutes
before entering a job fair in downtown
Toronto. Over the years I have grown the
confidence to attend job fairs and present my
self, all the while learning to dress the part. I
entered the fair with my suit on and ready to
strike conversations with possible
employers. I was given the opportunity to
meet hiring managers from a number of
companies and learned how to present
myself in front of these people. This day was
not about landing a position, but more so
allowing my network to grow and meet new
people who share the same interest in
business as me.
A Proud Moment
This photo shows one of my
proudest moments which is
achieving first place in the
Markham Music Festival for
playing the piano. My love for
music started from young, when
I began learning to play the
piano. The Markham Music
Festival gave me the
opportunity to compete with
other individuals who shared
the same passion for music and
allowed me to stand out of the
crowd receiving first place. This
certificate is seen as a reward
for the hard work and ambition I
put in into exceeding at music. I
continue to play the piano and
aim high.
