- 1. "My Special Rose By Linda J. Hutchinson
- 2. Today I picked a rose so perfect,
- 4. Oh how it reminded me of beautiful roses,
- 5. that I had been given through the years gone by.
- 6. Those flowers were given with deep feelings
- 7. And were meant as messages of love.
- 8. Each petal had been sprinkled with rainbow colors,
- 10. As I held the rose close to my heart,
- 11. I remembered the most special person I ever knew.
- 12. Silently crying, I felt tears run down my cheeks,
- 13. I saw them fall upon the rose like sparkling dew.
- 14. With shaking hands I plucked off one rose petal,
- 16. With love I kissed My Special Rose,
- 17. and I placed it upon my husbands grave.
