Rational
As Successful Aging¡¯s Thailand has stating since 1999, the program contributor, Jitisak
and Takada, had attempted to develop an essential program knowledge and intervention
for Local level (Sub-district, and district area) of Thailand for more than 10 years.
By the collected data of health conditions and living functions by the fundamental health)
function and living conditions checklists (the Questionnaires, 25 topics), based on the
fundamental health conditions and living functions check lists translated and adaptation
from Japan health and well-being foundation with Tokyo metropolitan institute of
Gerontology, Japan.
Questionnaires have 25 questions for elderly answered (self rating, ¡°yes¡± and ¡°no¡±
answers), to answer these questions; the elderly will be consideration of ability, attitude,
and consciousness concern of the self ability on activities of daily living (ADL, IADL,
and others).
The main focus activity and effects creation: explained and discussed
1. Coordination of project staff and local health administration to both understand
role and working process.

administration.

3. Attitude, awareness and knowledge of older participants on self health condition,
self awareness, senile health conditions and related affects (physical and mental),
functional and roles of group activity
4. Newly focus activity as an organic gardening (simply vegetable) for self planting
in their own home, residential and community participation: this activity is
proposed for make a community and individual self training and health effected
on training brain, living skill and created enjoy life (depression, sedentary, and
house bound: prevention effect)
5. The activity plan is need to continue action on repeat same topic activity again
(But more detail and focusing on real effect on knowledge and real applicable on
the community by have to create new model as assigned as a homework) for at
least 3 times for clearly understand and create real effect on skill, knowledge and
understanding of topics to make a real changing activity and promote life situation
of elder individual self and community
6. Activities were designed base on local people needed and real effect on
implementation in short, intermediate and long term with designed to be sustain
by create income to individual and community

- Health & well ¨C being and changing life style with a real impact will be evaluate
by the follow up topics target (index of success) explained and the implement is

and needed to follow up in Q1 2014.
