Navigating Module 1
Please refer back to this if you get
stuck.
Step 1:
 Look on your left to the buttons and click on
Assignments
Step 2:
 Click on Module 1: Functions to open the folder
and begin working.
Step 3:
 Now you will see the Welcome folder which lists
the standards covered in this module.
 Click on Module 1 Pre-Assessment to take the pre. You will do this
first in each module. If you make an 80 or higher you get to skip the
module and move on to the next one. If you do not the rest of the
module will open for you to work through it.
 Remember  you may NOT have any help at all on a pre.
 If you score over an 80, you and I MUST have a phone
conversation to verify that you understand the material on your
own without any assistance.
Module 1 Discussion Board:
 Regardless of whether you score an 80 or higher on the Pre-
Assessment, you must complete the Module 1 Discussion Board.
 Click on the title, read the directions, and complete your discussion
board assignment.
Step 4:
 If you do not pass the pre the module will open
and you will see the lessons:
 Lesson 1: Solving Equations
 Lesson 2: Relations and Functions
 Lesson 3: Slope and Linear Equations
 Lesson 4: Solving Linear Inequalities
 Lesson 5: Absolute Value Equations and
Inequalities
Step 5:
 After you click on Lesson 1 this is what you will
see:
 Click on the Notes first to receive your
instruction for Lesson 1.
Step 6:
 Under the notes you will see:
 What do I do now?  Read the steps for information on
completing the module.
 Module 1 Lesson 1 Printable Notes - You can print
these guided notes to help you organize the information in this
entire module.
 Module 1 Lesson 1 Video Notes  Watch the video and
complete the notes.
 Module 1 Lesson 1 Check Your Knowledge this is a
quiz to check your understanding of the notes. You need to make
an 80 or higher here to move on.
Step 7:
 This folder will appear after you master the Check
Your Knowledge Quiz.
 Here is where you will practice what you learned in
the notes. This is optional additional practice. You
are allowed multiple attempts on this assignment.
Step 8:
 After you complete the completion activities with an 80
or higher, then go to the Mastery Assignment.
 Module 1 Lesson 1 Mastery Assignment, a quiz, is located
here.
 You must make an 80 or higher to move on. You are 3
attempts on this assignment.
Additional info
 If you do not make an 80 or higher
on the Mastery Assignment I will
assign the Remediation
assignments to you. You do NOT
need to complete this assignment
unless directed to do so by your
teacher.
Step 9:
 After you have gone through the notes,
completion activity and mastery assignment for
Lesson 1 you need to move on to Lesson 2, 3, & 4
and complete the completion activity and
mastery assignments for them.
 When you have gone through all 4 lessons you
will see the

module. You will need to make an 80 or higher
here to move on to the next module. You have 3
attempts on each post assessment.
