International Teacher Exchange Program
Problem statement
 There are stagnant communities in Latin America
  where education is underdeveloped. The quality of
  education can be improved.

 Furthermore, there are teachers from the States
  lacking real world experience.

 There is a need for an exchange program facilitating
  teachers in America and their Latin American
  counterparts in acquiring extensive training and real
  world experience.
Mission and goals
 Spur growth within stagnant communities by increasing
  overall human capital
 Promote a partnership between North American
  universities and their Latin American counterparts
 Provide teachers from South American universities with
  extensive training in pedagogy and learning opportunities
 Provide teachers from North American universities with real
  world experiences and encounters
 Narrow the gap between education in developed and
  developing worlds
Objectives
 Provide 10  20 Latin American teachers with
  scholarships to study in America

 Support 10  20 American teachers to go work in Latin
  American educational institutions to fill in the vacant
  spots

 Length: 1 academic year

   Pedagogy courses for Latin American teachers
   Other courses of their interests
 Scholarships program
   Provide grants for studying in America
 Teacher exchange program
   American teachers can apply to experience education

Training program
 Invite pedagogy experts to teach classes

 Target to equip teachers with skills and knowledge in
  teaching and motivating learners

 Aim at an incorporation of theory and practice

 Engaging and meaningful classroom activities and
  extracurricular activities

 Provide chances for auditing real class hours
Scholarship program
 Scholarship recipients need to be teachers that:
    Currently work at a Latin American educational
     institution
    Show potentials and passion for their job
    Desire to return and help the home community
    Have little chance to study overseas
    Meet other requirements for qualifications and
     experience
Teacher exchange

 Target: Teachers or pedagogy students in America
  who are
    Passionate about encountering different cultures and
     learning on the field
    Accept to pay at least partly for their stay in Latin
     America
    Work at the
    institutions as substitutes

 Monthly written reports/journals from the teachers
  involving their thoughts, progress, and quality of the
  program
