This document reviews exponent rules, including that rational exponents can be written as radicals, exponents with the same base are multiplied when the exponents are added and divided when subtracted, and any number raised to the 0 power is 1. It also discusses how to solve radical equations by eliminating radicals using the property that if a = b, then an = bn, raising both sides of the equation to the same power. Several examples are provided of solving radical equations by eliminating radicals through raising both sides to matching powers.
